Those flashing lights....

Hello. I have been seriously delinquent in addressing my favorite topic these days: Justin Timberlake. Yes, I am a teenybopper at heart, but have you heard his new album? I managed to get a sneak-preview copy before it became widely available and had no idea the little gem I was getting my hands on. Overlay that with the fact that I attended his post-VMAs concert at the Roseland Ballroom (yes, it did start at 1:30am. Yes it did end at 3:30am. Yes I did manage to go to work the following day), and I have truly fallen for my boy JT. All of a sudden he is everywhere in my life. I don't subscribe to Rolling Stone magazine but one showed up in my mailbox last week with a sultry picture of JT on front...IN A WET T-SHIRT. So I read it. They liked the album too. And then I picked up a People magazine at the doctor's office. They liked it too. And the times liked it, MSNBC liked it, everyone likes it. You will too.

I decided that the song LoveStoned is going to be my wedding song*. It is the best of both worlds - starts out as a little dance number and then about two minutes from the end turns into an Interpol-inspired rock ballad thing that is FANTASTIC. (Rolling Stone told me it was Interpol inspired, don't worry I didnt come up with that on my own).

Key Justin takeaways:
1) He dressed up like an Omelet on SNL once. Hello, awesome. Not as awesome as Trumpaclaus....but pretty awesome.
2) He beatboxes. And it works.
3) He proudly displays his artistic inspirations - Michael Jackson. Prince. No shame, JT, no shame!
4) He used to be in a band with Chris Kirkpatrick. Hello, FuManSkeeto clothing line (which is or was apparently sold at Nordstroms?)

5) He is so psyched that he doesn't date Britney anymore and that she is crazy-fat with two small federletii

Not to let it be overshadowed by the album release, the post-VMA JT concert was OUTSTANDING. The crowd was dedicated, the scotch was delicious, and the celebs were omnipresent (insert shout out to Nick Lachey here). The highlight was Justin himself who managed to keep the vibe alive even though he was performing new singles that the crowd hadn't heard yet. Read about it here and be jealous that I got to go. Suckas.

* Blogger's note: No, I'm not getting married soon. NO, I'm not engaged either. NO, I'm not dating anyone. Thanks.
